Approximately twenty-five thousand residences in southeastern Queensland woke up without power on Monday's dawn after intense storm systems passed over the area, bringing strong winds topping over 100 km/h.
Massive Frozen Precipitation and Broad Damage
Residents witnessed substantial frozen pellets reaching sizes of seven centimeters in certain regions. The Bureau of Meteorology announced that different parts across the state had been impacted by large hailstones.

Damp conditions were forecast to persist along significant areas of Queensland's east this next several days as a low-pressure trough continued to draw in moisture against the coast.

Medical authorities cautioned that there was an greater possibility of thunderstorm-induced asthma across the countryside regions, particularly given the existing atmospheric conditions.
